2015 DATES - 20th July - 10th August Every Summer the Raising Hope Foundation organise a volunteer trip to Ghana. Volunteers typically spend two weeks helping at a summer school, which runs every afternoon for the village children. We teach maths, english, science and geography  as well as doing art projects, games, sports and any sklls our volunteers may have! Mornings are spent in the community, be it helping to paint a school building, putting up displays, have a game of football with the children or getting stuck in at our Childrens Home Project Site. At weekends volunteers go on excursions to nearby Wli waterfalls, a monkey sanctuary and other local sites, taking the older children with us on one of these trips. Volunteers will then have the opportunity to spend time on Ghana's coast, visiting historic slave forts at Cape Coast and relaxing on caribbean style beaches in Butre and Busua. There is also the option of travelling the long journey north to Mole National Park where you'll see wild elephants. RHF staff are all volunteers and we are proud to boast one of the most cost effective volunteer trips to Ghana. Send us an e-mail to request a volunteer information pack and to ask any questions. We'd love to have you join us!

It is a cause I am really passionate about, and I feel so alive when I am in Ghana. This year I spent the majority of my time at the school building relationshi In all honesty I was a little down in the dumps, there wasn't much going on and my life had become somewhat dead in many ways.
